What is your favourite restaurant? (Discussion)

It’s a fact – when it comes to food and hospitality everyone has an opinion. Most of us are ready to share ours and will fiercely defend them against doubters, infidels and non-believers who vie that their choice of a restaurant or a cuisine is better.

Given LearnHub’s diverse membership, we are bound to get a few interesting answers. So, please share with us your favourite restaurant, it’s location and what makes it stand out. And no – your mom’s kitchen doesn’t count, even though for most of us this will likely be the first answer we think of!

I have three very diverse recommendations:

Toronto, Canada: George San Francisco, CA: Samovar Tea Lounge Gurgaon, India: Bikanervala

I haven’t thought about this for very long… I’ll try to come up with more…

    I love Sahib Sindh Sultan!

An interesting it of trivia: Sahib Sindh Sultan was the first locomotive (train) to ply in India. The restaurant is fashioned like an old train coach, with all waiters dressed like ticket collectors, etc.

Their menu is lavish and the best part is the paan that they serve. I’ll try and post some pics in a day or two :)

My all-time favourite restaurant has to be the Raintree Cafe in Waterloo. It’s a small restaurant, with delicious home-made type meals. They’ll sometimes host live music by local musicians, and their walls are covered with art done by local artists. Pretty cool atmosphere!

It’s so hard to pick just one, so I’ll go by meal. These are all located in Toronto.

    • Breakfast: Musa They have fantastic eggs benedict
    • Lunch: Ghandi Roti Best Roti by far
    • Dinner: La Palette It’s french, one of the few that serves Cheval in Toronto.
